Become a Volunteer

If you are interested in lending your time, your energies, and your talents to our mission, please feel free to contact us.  We are always looking for creative, dedicated, and enthusiastic volunteers to assist us in raising awareness about local environmental and conservation issues.  We welcome fresh voices and perspectives as we work towards accomplishing our mission and serving our community.

Promote Education and Awareness

Lend a hand to the environment. One of the most effective ways to generate enthusiasm about environmental conservation and preservation efforts is to raise our own awareness, and to share our growing knowledge and passion with others.  A fen is a relatively low profile habitat. Unlike oceans, forests, or lakes, fens too often escape the notice of even those who live in their immediate vicinity.  iSearchiGive.comHowever, because these lovely, fragile, irreplaceable, and rapidly disappearing environments not only support a wide range of valuable and often threatened plant and animal species,  but also critically influence local water quality and water management issues, they are definitely worthy of our notice. Please visit our Maps and Illustrations and Educational Resources pages to learn more about fens, wetlands, and water management.  We hope that as you learn more about these environments and their impact on our quality of living, you will come to share our enthusiasm for protecting and preserving them.  Please feel free to contact us for further information, or to arrange an informational presentation for your group. We are always happy to share our knowledge and our resources with you, and we are grateful for your interest in and support of our mission.
